I enjoyed this first book in a Harry Potter-sortof way. It’s good, fun escapism. What I like is how the tempo of the book changes from criminal drama to comedy to fantasy to spy novel, etc, etc… Initially, you aren’t really sure what is going on, but eventually the young anti-hero idea catches on and becomes a very entertaining narrative. Nathaniel Parker provides a fantastic narration, reminiscent of Jim Dale’s excellent characterization for the Potter audio books.
Having finished the first couple books, I’m led to think of the first two books almost as a continuous story, with many of the same characters recurring.
Worth checking out.
Walking In The Light
I was a little concerned at first. Wasn’t sure how I would like the Kindle experience? Is there enough books to choose from available to Australians? Is it expensive? Is it difficult?…..
I just LOVE my Kindle. I can’t believe how light and thin it is.
No More Heavy Books – I no longer have to lug heavy books with me on holiday and if I run out I download more.
No New Bookshelves – I no longer have to think about buying more book shelves to house my reading collection.
FREE FOREVER 3G wireless download in Australia…brilliant! Download a book in 60 seconds.
A paper like experience – Can read Kindle in full sunlight, and as it is not backlit like a computer there is no eye strain. I love the option to change the font size and look up words in the dictionary. I occasionally forget I am not reading a printed book and go to physically turn the page.
Reading in bed – is so more comfortable, no big movement to change the page, or having to hold a heavy book at a strange unbalanced angle because you are very nearly at the end.
Reading at the Gym – no more tyring to get a thick book to balance on your workout machine, or try to turn pages with sweaty fingers…the Kindle is soo light and slim, it perches on the stand perfectly and only requires a light touch to turn the page. Makes working out a little less painful.
Always have something to read – Light enough to carry around in my handbag, so I always have something to do if I am kept waiting. In the attractive leather cover it looks like a slim diary.
Getting a Manicure – Now something I am sure even Amazon didn’t think of as a benefit….getting your nails done- you can’t turn the pages on a book or a magazine while you wait for your new manicure to dry(boring), but you can read your Kindle.
Range – Fantastic 340,000 books to choose from at last count for Australian residents. Are there some books I want that are missing…yes, but they (like others I have wanted previously) will turn up o
Apple MacBook Pro 2
This is a lot better than trying to use a windshield mount, but still. This thing slides all over the place on my dash. Its four “toes” curl up and result in the mount not staying in place. It’s big and hard to conceal – if I don’t want to remove the GPS from it every time I park, that means I have to tuck the whole thing as best I can under the seat and hope nobody sees it. It’s not terribly hard to remove from the GPS if you do it the proper way, but it’s very easy to do it another, improper way (removal of the ball from the “GPS holder”) which after a few times results in broken plastic strips on the “GPS holder” and the mount no longer mounting to the GPS holder (which I’ve now had to replace twice).
But, I don’t know of any other options – there might be some generic ones. And it’s a lot better than using the default windshield mount, which is awful and results in your GPS repeatedly dropping onto the ground or dash. I just can’t say that I like it.
Black Tennis Magazine
I bought the forerunner 305 for my husband. He loves it so far. The GPS feature seems work out pretty good; the device is able to track most of the the running trails he went including Melbourne city in Australia.
There is only one thing I am not satisfied with the customer service of Garmin 305. There is a warning sign that certain materials used for the watch may cause birth defects or cancer. I called up their customer support and they are not able to provide me any information about this. I hope Garmin will do better than this to reduce the health risk that their customers may expose to when the products are distributed and used.

It is so much fun using the Garmin 305. I bought it a year ago in order to push my motivation since I train by myself.
Once you adjust the screens according to your personal needs, It becomes easy to use, very friendly and accurate.
It’s a big watch, but it’s not heavy at all and it fits very comfortably around the wrist. And you can check the screen easily while you are running.
Useful for all types of trainig: Speed work, pace run, repetitions, everything can be programmed in advanced, and you can even run either against the watch, with the virtual partner feature or against your own previous runs. Excelent aid for a race. You are able to check your pace per kilometer and your heart rate without pushing any button, with the autolap function, and from there, adjust your effort in relation to the length of that race.
The only problem I had was at downloading my training programs and courses from the computer into the watch, It gave me some headaches, and I never managed to do It right, the computer wouldn’t recognize the information when I tried to upload it back again, so I decided to ignore that feature. Other than that and in spite of that problem, I love my watch, and I highly recomend it.
Aria Trolley 22 hx18
I am a 55 year old grandma – and ADORED this book! I wouldn’t give it a chance because I thought it was for teenagers. My daughter in law talked me into watching the movie. I now have all four books, in the series, the Twilight DVD, and the soundtracks to both Twilight and New Moon. Give it a chance – you won’t regret it!
Blessed By Satan
I never thought this game console was going to be so great! I’ve had a lot fun with it very much, and my family is really enjoying every part of it.
Crumpler 7 Million Dollar
I have been a huge supporter if Kindle since I got my K1. But since I “upgraded” to K2 I have had nothing but problems. Cracking of the case – now no whispernet. When I followed onscreen instructions and restarted the K2 I succeeded only in LOSING ALL MY ARCHIVED ITEMS. Progress. I don’t think so. iPad I await you.
Aveeno Active Naturals Advanced
Like I said, at the beginning I hung in there. A really good book will have me page turning till the late hours of the night that wasn’t the case at first. As I approached midway through the book I was up late reading and I began taking the book to work to sneak it a few chapters. The author did a great job of researching the matter you can tell from the vivid writing and dialogue. Great read.
