With a dog and 3 cats (one who gets p***** off easily…pardon the pun)I used my 1st F5914 to its death. I worked it for 3 years on a “over-average” basis. (Almost every weekend for either quick clean ups or tackling a large area.) I re-researched carpet cleaners before replacing it…and the Hoover SteamVac F5914 still won out. I even borrowed friends alternate brands and did not get the results that I have from the Hoover. Once, I had a carpet service come in to clean my entire house, but my carpet was still pretty damp. So for the heck of it I ran my Hoover over the high traffic areas. I pulled up almost as much water as if I had just gone through the “forward motion with power surge”! Never again! This machine is so easy to use and gets up the stains that the “professionals” did not. I had only a few issues with leaking..didn’t have the tank set correctly. I am not a fan of the attachments. I tried to clean my car seats and a mattress, but didn’t get the same suction when it came to pulling out the water as when cleaning carpets. I am not a direction reader, so maybe I did something wrong. I will try again. But I am so glad my new machine is here! It takes very little time to keep your carpet fresh and clean, once you have done the whole thing. (for me anyway) You really will not go wrong if you purchase this machine!
Bike Handlebar Holder Mount
Having recently purchased an Acer One Netbook, I was horrified by the slow speed of the machine. This must be a throwback from the 1990s (’80’s?)! I complained to the company where I bought it and was told that the Windows 7 Starter was part of the problem, the other problem being lack of memory. They said if I bought Windows 7 Home Premium and a large SD, the card would act as virtual RAM and it would speed right up.
I received both products quickly and packaged well from Amazon, but I’m still wondering what Win7 upgrade is good for, and the Transcend 8 GB card absolutely refuses to work with my computer for anything other than storage. If all it’s good for is storage I’d rather use it in my camera, so that’s where it is. It does work fine there. I’m back to a 4GB SD card for the netbook, which doesn’t seem to speed it up at all. So that much $$ poorer, I guess I’ve learned a lesson – your computer goes at the speed it goes. Period. Don’t expect anything more.

So far, I am very pleased with the scale. I would rate it as very accurate–at least within a pound, probably even better than that. After weighing myself on scale at gym and then on this one wearing same clothes, the weights agreed. It is truly “step on technology” as advertised–you don’t need to tap it to “wake it up.” One quirk I’ve noticed–it does seem to “remember” the last weight and will read exactly the same until the weight changes by at least a pound. When I weigh myself then weigh again holding say a half pound object, it reads exactly the same as the first reading. But if I want a new reading with a minimal change from the prior weighing, I can simply weigh while holding at least a one pound object then weigh again without the object–this appears to give a true weight even if it is close to the prior weight.

I am now on my second Hoover Tempo Widepath Upright Vacuum. I bought my first one 2 years ago, and for some reason it stopped working. Although I didn’t like that I needed to buy a new one so soon, the price makes it painless! I thought about trying to get it fixed, but it would be cheaper to buy a new one. The vacuum has great suction, and works better than more expensive vacuums that I have purchased. I would agree though that the cord could be longer. If you are looking for a GREAT inexpensive vacuum, you have found it.

First, I think the most important thing in purchasing a new rack for your bike is to VISIT A LOCAL BIKE SHOP and let someone show you which type you will need. That eliminates almost all of your battles when it finally arrives in the mail, all packaged up new! From there, it was easy street for me. I am a single woman and not necessarily mechanically inclined, but I was able to do it on my own in less than an hour. The instructions weren’t very helpful, so I had to figure it out on my own. I did have to make a minor adjustment by replacing the bolt at the neck of my frame with another one (that I just happened to have in my toolbox). The total cost saved me $20 or more (with free shipping), it looks great on my pink Schwinn cruiser, and ordering was no-hassel. Love it!
