people complain that the characters are thin. Maybe so, but the story is rich. rich in history, rich in emotions rich in the real life of old time traveling circus. I lived on the ringling train in the 70’s. As I read the story I felt transported back to the life. If you want to experience the life, read it. Not for everybody but everything for some. Drama

This is the 3rd Touch in my family. We bought this one for my son on his 16th birthday, and he has been finally seeing the light on what a amazing piece of tech this convergence device is. I can transform how you relate to the world, for now you have the power of a computer in your shirt pocket. I know some will pooh-pooh that statement as hyperbole, but it is true. Of the few things are my every day carry tools, the iPod Touch is one. I use it for play, entertainment, surfing the internet, and even work.

The power and flexibility is just amazing.

For me, I will be buying the 4th Gen as soon as it comes out, and pass down my current one to my other son.

The 3nd Gen version this review is about, certainly is snappier than my 2nd Gen, and I wish I had the additional capacity,(My iTunes library is clocking about 140 GB of music alone), but iTunes makes it relatively easy to manage the content I wish to carry.

Highly recommended, and for those anti-Apple types – your loss, not mine.

If you don’t want to ruin your vehicle with a suction cup holder this is what you need to buy. You can place it anywhere in your car. The bottom of the garmin portable mount seems to stick to about anything. I never had it move on me when I used it. I like to sit it down between my seats so it isn’t up by the windshield. And sometimes the passengers want to see where the next gas station or food place is, so they can just pick it up really easily and look at it. When they are done it can be placed right back to where I had it. Great product for anyone that doesn’t want to mess with the suction cup holders.

Anytime I am bombarded with “You HAVE to read this!”- I am often skeptical. Typically, these books will turn out to be sappy love stories or trite stories with annoying self-help undertones. The Help is neither. Instead, this novel is compelling, well-written, and should be regarded as a contemporary stalwart of “Southern” literature.

This intricately written novel is set in the 1960s in Jackson, Mississippi. The Help focuses on the lives of several young women, their hired “help” and the racial lines that exist. The relationships between the women and their housekeepers vary, and Stockett explores the complexities inherent in these relationships, as well as those between the friends, the friends and their families, children, etc. I found the three narrators to be uniquely written and their voices resonate well throughout their respective chapters.

If you liked Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, then this is a sure thing for you. For once, I’m glad to have had a recommended book be a good one!

The book is already bad enough (not going to comment on that further) but the reader, Illyana Kudushin,’s voice acting did not make the book any better. She put on a horrible performance. The book is long-winded enough already and the audio book will make these flaws seem more obvious because Illyana enunciates every word ever so slowly. She puts intonations and pauses in all the wrong places making things sound melodramatic for no reason, pronounces some words funnily, and over all narrates the book (Bella’s voice) with an annoying tone of an immature angsty teen (imagine the tone of voice you would use to imitate a bratty teenage girl). Edward Cullen was suppose to have a sexy melodic voice, but since the reader does a crappy job and probably can’t deepen her voice enough, his dialog just ends up sounding ridiculous. The book was already tedious and unnecessarily verbose with Meyer’s excessive and ineffective use of “descriptive action words” and words she probably looked up in a thesaurus. That with the bad voice acting made me want to cut off my ears by chapter three and punt a kitten (I like kittens but I was so frustrated). I wasn’t reading the book, so I couldn’t throw anything across the room (can’t throw my MP3 player!).

I highly suggest you don’t read the books at all, but if you want to find out first hand just how bad the series is, at least don’t listen to the audio book. You’ll want to jump off a cliff after listening to an hour of it.
