I don’t know what the previous version of this vacuum cleaner was like, but the one I received works as it should. Actually, it has better suction than the one I replaced which was the expensive gear driven version of the same cleaner.
I do not vacuum hard floors (I broom and mop them) and have never tried to use a vacuum cleaner on them, so no loss there.
If I had very thick carpet, I would have to go for a more expensive vacuum, as thick carpet will usually put to much stress on a single belt.
Even if this is less than it used to be, it is still a great value at under $80.00.
The cord could be longer, and routing the cord on the hangers is a bit clumsy but
gets done.
A word to the wise: To extend the life of the roller as long as possible, and to not have the belt slip and burn, keep the setting at a point that does not pull the vacuum forward to much, as this is nothing more than the roller brushes hitting the carpet. (For regular height carpet try setting it at the high or close to high setting)

This brush works really well. It definitely is a “deshedding tool”. It is a little of a pain that I have to stop every 3-4 strokes to collect the hair to stick it in a bag or trash can otherwise clumps of hair get all over the place. There would be clumps floating around in my backyard. But then again I guess that means that it is getting all the loose hair out.

I’ve been using this product for a couple of years now, and i am very happy with it. The GPS I had originally broke, I bought a new one and I still use this old portable friction mount. It holds very well, it does not slide, and allows me to remove the GPS easily and without leaving any trace when I leave the car.

I used the Hoover SteamVac yesterday for the first time. It did not seem to dispense very much cleaner or get my carpet very clean. Then I used the stair attachment which worked OK. Today, while trying to clean another carpet I realized the cleaner release button wasn’t working at all. Everything is clicked in securely. I called Hoover. My choices: take it to be fixed (20 miles away) or mail it back to Amazon to get my money back. When I said I was going to write a bad review for the product the “Customer Service Representative” said I was threatening her. So, I’m not threatening anyone – I’m just saying: a brand new appliance should work. If it doesn’t it’s a lemon and I would not give this product even one star!

While I don’t completely regret reading this book about a young man who joins the circus as a vet in the 1930’s, in hindsight I defintely would have chosen another book. It starts off with a bang, then slows down significantly in the middle, and it ends quite nicely. It’s your typical boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl story. I did enjoy the historical fiction aspect of it and I truly enjoyed the final portion of the book where the author writes about why, how, and what she did to write this book.
I’d recommend it to the causal reader, but a more sophisticated reader may want to look elsewhere.

I am a newbie to electronic fitness products. I am old school when it came to working out. I got the Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver With Heart Rate Monitor to keep track of my after work jogs and since I had a bike I decided to get the cadence sensor as well. They work very well together (Pair easy). It mounts to your bike with cable ties so it’s very easy to install, it transmits to the 305 wirelessly. The only problem was that the magnet that goes on the peddle crank did not come close enough to the sensor to register. So I had to place a spacer between the magnet and crank to get it closer. Other than that it works great for me. The price was high also.

It is well weighted and should stay put on most flat dashboards. However, our dash is slanted and curved, and the Garmin attached to the base kept slipping down and never was able to find a place to lay it flat. The total height of the GPS and the base was too high to slip it back onto the dash without it hitting the windshield. What can I tell you? I’s a good base, but for many cars, you’d be better off with the suction cup mount.
