I’ve had my Kindle a week. Here’s what I love:
SIZE and WEIGHT – the screen is big enough to read comfortably, yet the size is small enough to hold with one hand. Even comfortable lying in bed on my side with my elbow propped up. It fits in my purse very nicely.
FREE BOOKS! There seem to be a bazillion free books (copyright expired) out there – some I’ve read, some I haven’t, those I’ve read are in boxes in the attic b/c there isn’t enough room to bring them down. And now I can have them all on one device! It’s so much fun downloading FREE BOOKS!
LESS EXPENSIVE NEW BOOKS! Just bought 2 NYT best-sellers for a fraction of the price, plus did it right from home via Whispernet.
KINDLE ON MY BLACKBERRY! I can read (if I’m really desperate) on my Blackberry, but the “store” feature works great too.
SCREEN QUALITY – The sharpness of the electronic ink is terrific. The brief “flash” effect when turning the page was at first startling (I thought I woudn’t get used to it) but I quickly found I didn’t notice it at all.
FREE BOOKS! Did I mention FREE BOOKS? Well, I’ll say it again. FREE BOOKS! Yes, of course you can patronize your local library, but my local library isn’t open on Sundays….or at 9 PM….or nearby when I’m on vacation and have a whim to read Dickens…or Eliot…. or Wodehouse….I LOVE FREE BOOKS!
Finally, it’s really, really, really cool.
(Don’t forget about the FREE BOOKS!)
Pacific Twirl Girls Bike
Great Bike for the price…. This little bike was a steal for the ptice. The packaging arrived in very good condition. the bike itself was very easy to put together. It took me about 20 minutes to get everything done.
The bike’s finish was flawless with no scratches. The best indicator was when my little girl rode it. The smile on her face is the final arbiter. I recommend this bike if your budget does not allow for the pricier biclycles around.
Bottom line: worth the investment.
