MS shafts us again. This is quite possibly the worst “upgrade” in a long line of crud that BG has forced down our throats. This version of Word is so complicated and unfriendly its hard ot impagin what they were thinking other than lets make a new version to make $$$$> If your using Office 2003, stick with it! It’s a much better product!

I was searching for a scale that had an extended weight capacity; which was not an easy endeavor. Many SAID they would do this, or that … then in reading the “fine print” I would find that accuracy, or some other aspect of the product, would be adversely affected if the extended weight were actually utilized.(So whats the point!)
So, when I first read the details of the “EatSmart Precision Digital Scale with Step-On Technology” I wondered if it could really be as accurate, reliable and simple to use as it claimed. Where’s the fine print that negates the promises? Well, let me say that my experience has been phenomenal! The product does ALL it says it can – and the calibration consistently holds an accurate weight when compared to my Doctors office results.
Undoubtedly, the next time I need a health product that EatSmart provides, I will be purchasing it from them. I am exceedingly happy with all aspects of this product and the company’s service; therefore, I feel you will not be misguided in trusting them as well.

I will admit something up front. I am a sucker for a tight, clever script where there is plenty of verbal sparring. Intelligent (might I even say–”thought provoking”) drama gets me off. Two of my favorite classics are “The Lion in Winter” and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolff?”–two powerful, but wickedly funny, verbal bloodbaths based on plays. Now I’m not saying “Hard Candy” falls into that league, but it is certainly refreshing to watch an adult film with an actual point-of-view that doesn’t dumb itself down for mass consumption.
Ellen Page and Patrick Wilson are both suberb, and there are enough twists and action to keep the viewer guessing through their game of cat-and-mouse. This is a sweet antidote to the usual summer blockbuster–one that will make you think and one that you will remember.
Not to provide a spoiler, but the film does wrap itself up rather tidily–which keeps it from being truly brilliant (I’d actually give it 4 1/2 stars). But I was riveted throughout.
A word of warning, however, I imagine a lot of people might not like this film. But if you are a fan of well-scripted, well- acted drama and open to the subject matter (might be too controversial or even too graphic for some), I’d definitely give this a try. KGHarris, 9/06.

I have been looking long and hard for a decent inexpensive scale. I found it! This scale is great, accurate, stylish and convenient to store. I like that fact that it’s digital and you don’t have to guess at your weight. Highly recommended.

I’ve had this Omron Pedometer for over a year during which it has performed faultlessly. I’ve had to change the battery once.
Last night the unit went through a wash in my fast spinning front loading washing machine. It came out with the screen fogged and not working. I opened up the back with the three tiny screws and dried it out with a hairdryer. Now it works like new! Tough little pedometer.

Our book club discussed this book yesterday. We had a blast! Our hostess had a maid serve lunch and we all wore hats and gloves, and our pearls.
The book certainly gave us northern girls an insight of what was happening in the south. We knew, of course, but this was presented in a way we could more fully experience the life of these abused, hard working women.
The book is well written and one that is hard to put down once you begin. Hope the author writes more soon.
