I feel, a happy customer only recommends and gifts the product he is using. I am thoroughly enjoying reading on Kindle and not only that – I am able to get back to habit of reading after break of long 18 years. I feel every cent spent on Kindle was worth, even though when today, I compare price it works out to be cheaper.
I have been a vocal promoter of Kindle since I have bought my Kindle Dx. And that’s not over – I gifted 2 Kindle in last one month. First one a 6″ Kindle and the second one a Kindle Dx.
But I feel, book prices for Kindle can be cheaper and that will surly offer a great value on cost.
I recommend Kindle for reading.
Forever Collectibles Animal Planet
We first got the Planet Dog baseball in January ‘08. Our dog chews EVERYTHING, including Kongs. He was able to chew this up after about 6 months and we bought a new one. It’s been about 6 months since the last purchase and it’s time again. He is able to chew it up after a while, but I figure we can pay $10 twice a year for a toy he really loves (and it bounces really well). I recommend this toy to any retriever/hard chewer.
Planet Dog Orbee Tuff
We never received this item but have been charged for it. The expected delivery date has come and gone by one week now and still no book. Issue full credit for this purchase and we will get it from a more reliable source.
Planet India How the
This is a fun and easy to read book. It’s great if you just want a break and relax diving into fantasy world. I was a bit disappointed at how simple the story was. It’s definetly more for kids than adults. Don’t expect something extraordinary but if you just want some fun easy reading this is a good choice.
Planet Bike 7018 Front
Good Deal, bright enough for the city. Nice small lights for evening riding in the city. Not bright enough for nighttime trail riding but small, cheap, removable. What more could you ask for for $10.
Great for blink lights, Okay for seeing in the dark. I bought this set to comply with bicycle light laws in San Francisco, and these lights got the job done. Both the head lamp and the tail light have a couple of settings: on and blink. I would recommend using blink, at least for the head lamp, to save the batteries.
If you’re looking for a head lamp to illuminate the road/trail, this is not the set for you. The lamp does do a halfway decent job of lighting the area in front of you, but there are better options in terms of battery life and illumination. On the other hand, if you just need a front blink light, this lamp works wonderfully. Since the lamp doesn’t give off tons of light, you won’t feel like you’re driving into a strobe light while it’s blinking. Most importantly, people will easily be able to see you with the lamp.
The rear lamp is pretty standard, and makes you plenty visible.
The braces for attaching the lights to your bike are plastic, but solid nonetheless.
To conclude, this is the perfect set of blink lights, and a mediocre head lamp for vision in the dark.
I’ve recommended these lights to others…Here’s why.. The system was totally worth Planet Bike 3040 Superflash Tail Light and Blaze Headlight Light Set for me and I would recommend it to anyone who rides on city streets as I do in Seattle.
The mounting: I had a little bit of a hard time mounting the back light where I wanted it, but was very adjustable once mounted. The front light goes on the handlebars like a breeze.
Back Blinky: It is really bright when the High Intensity LED lights up. I made the mistake of looking at it, and was seeing spots for a while afterwards. The only drawback is that you have to be mindful as the battery is winding down, because it will still blink but not nearly as intense as it would be with a fresh battery.
The Front Light: It is dynamite in the blinking mode(haven’t used it in steady mode). I don’t know how well cars can see it, but I have seen it light up the newer retro-reflective street signs from over 200yds(600 ft) away. It is very impressive.
Happy Riding.
Fun & Gets Kids Active. I wont repeat all that has been said (review 145 and all that).
Do be aware that there is no built in handicap. That means that if you have 2+ kids of different ages and different running ability, they won’t likely play Wild Planet Hyper Dash together as one is going to quickly realize they cannot win. You will need to invent some sort of handicap, which isnt all that easy, and it may never work out that they play it together without your supervision to enforce the handicap.
So – loads of fun and a good buy. BUT, if the goal is to get kids of different ages active by playing together (mine are 4 and 7) … a soccer ball or something like that is still a better choice.
P.S. It is humiliating to get beat by a 7 year old!
Excellent Bike Pump for the Money. The pump came quickly and works great for the price. I haven’t used it enough to comment on its long-term reliability yet, but so far I am very satisfied.
Excellent light. I purchased this light for an electric SLX scooter with relatively small diameter handle bars. Regarding mounting the bracket to the handle bars, the instructions are very clear. The mounting strap has ratchets that allow 3 clicks. When I clicked Planet Bike 3044 Blaze 1-Watt LED Headlight to the tightest position and then used the cam lock for the final adjustment it was fairly snug, but since the handle bars of the scooter were just over 3/4″ dia and a regular bike handle bar diameter is 1″ I found that using a rubber shim strap that I have from previous Cat Eye light made for a more secure fit. For a regular bike handle bar the built in rubber shim that only covers part of the strap should be more than adequate. I doubt it was designed for the very narrow handlebars of scooters.
As to the light itself it definitely lives up to its name, having a much brighter and whiter spectrum than the Cat Eye incadescents which take 4 AA’s. The Blaze is very bright easily lighting up refective signs and this from only 2 AA’s and at a very reasonable price. Another useful safety feature is the “cutouts” around the sides of the lens that help make you more visible to motorists from the sides. The power switch has 3 settings first steady light, second a noticeably brighter constant on and lastly the flashing setting with a brighter flasher every 6th flash.
I have been very impressed with several Planet Bike products and this is no exception. Hope this review helps.
A brief update. Having received a similar model – the 1/2 watt Blaze and mounting it to a regular bike handle bar, I have come to conclusion that if you want a really secure fit it requires using a rubber shim – these are widely available – that fits between the bracket and the handle bar itself. The small included shim, which is permanently attached to the mounting strap, does not cover enough area to really allow the bracket not to slip. Most lights come with these rubber shims and their Protege 9.0 computer comes with several of differing thicknesses.
Still a great light and still would give it 5 stars, but does require a little modification for a really slip free mounting.
