Artemis Fowl is a 12 year old criminal mastermind from Ireland. He believes he has discovered the underground of world of fairies.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Atermis. with his trust strongarm and bodyguard Butler, comes across a sprite posing as a healer and acquires from her the fairy holy book written in Gnomish.
Meanwhile the pretty and tough elf policegirl Captain Holly Short, of LEPrecon is pursuing a deadly troll who has escaped aboveground, and is kidnapped by Artemis to ransom her for copious amounts of fairy gold,. Holly is put under the care of Butler’s sister, Juliet, a blond 16 year old bodyguard in training.
Artemis has taken on LEPrecon and has not reckoned with LEPrecon Commander Juius Root who will stop at nothing to rescue Captain Short. LEPrecon is aided by centaur Foaly. A lot of exciting and fast paced action sometimes too much of it to allow for much character or scene development.
A great deal of wit and humour which is possibly the main attraction of the books.
Technology fans will love the high tech elf equipment.
Plenty of weird and wonderful characters- my favourite being the mesmerizing Captain Holly Short.
Not quite a modern classic but it is loved by teen and pre-teen audiences internationally.

If you like fantasy or mystery, then this is the book for you. I would have rated it 7+ stars, but the rating chart didn’t go that high…
If you get one book a year, then GET THIS BOOOOOK!!!
Every part of it makes you want to read more, every scheme or plan makes you wonder what the next is going to be, and every time you finish a book in this series, you just can’t wait till the next.
And just the style of Eion Colfer’s writing is almost enough t make you think like you’re in the story.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this steam cleaner. I owned a Bissell in the past and it was junk. I think I used it twice and then it broke.
I was AMAZED at how well this cleaned my carpet. I have two young children and a cat and a husband that doesn’t like to remove his shoes when coming into the house. My stairs and landings were disgusting. My carpet looks almost brand new.
You do need to take your time but it’s worth it.
My only gripes are the same as most…the tanks are small. I had to make numerous trips to the sink.
I definitely recommend this product!!

I just needed a simple bathroom scale, and this one is perfect for me. I weighed myself 3 times in a row, moving the scale each time, and got the exact same results each time. I like the way the number blinks after it reaches your weight. I weigh myself without my glasses on. So, when I see the number blink I can get off and bend over and read the number. (It stays for a few seconds after I step off.) I have 20/200 vision, so the numbers aren’t quite big enough for me to see. But, I didn’t expect them to be. I’ve had the scale for just a month now, and so far I am very satisfied.

I am quite glad I purchased the Omron Pedimeter. It seems to be quite accurate. And best of all it encourages me to take more steps. For instance: when I read it and it says ‘550′ steps, I say to myself let’s take it to 600 (and so forth throughout the day adding lots of extra steps that I wouldn’t have done without it). And that is very easy to do, and when I’m waiting for my toast to come up (or whatever) I walk in place, adding more steps and making good use of the time.
Before I bought it, I read the reviews and quite a few people mentioned how they lost theirs, and that it should have a leash. So I also bought a leash at the same time, which I didn’t need. Because it now comes with one so you won’t need to buy a leash.

I have twin toddlers, two large dogs, two cats, and a messy husband. We vacuum our tiled/wood laminate living spaces and area rugs about 4 times a week, sweeping the hard floors between vacuumings. So, yeah, I’m a pretty heavy user of vacuum cleaners – I demand a lot from my appliances! This model works well – picks up a lot from the rugs, does a good job of sucking up dust bunnies and cheerios from the hard floor without using the beater brush, and gets good suction across the whole cleaning head. Like some other reviewers, I didn’t expect so much power from a vacuum for less than $100. My one complaint is that the cleaning head is deep enough (front to back) and the unit is heavy enough that it’s not at all easy to use on stairs. In the end, I got what I paid for, though, because it only worked for about 8 months before it just … died. We tinkered with, inspected, cleaned, and kicked the thing to no avail. It just won’t turn on anymore! If I can get my husband to accept the fact that neither of us can fix this vacuum, I’ll probably buy a second one and hope it holds out a bit longer this time.

I have been purchasing books from Amazon.com since they first opened for business. It has been fun watching them grow and prosper. They couldn’t have done that if they didn’t provide good service and products. I will continue to purchase from them.
The book I purchased was Conversations With God #1. I have already read this book and the others in the series over and over. I purchase it again from time to time to give to someone else. It is an important book.

I wanted a scale that would weigh me, that’s it. If that’s what you are looking for buy this one.
This scale is accurate each and every time I step on it. I have tested it by getting on and off with weights and it remains accurate. Not only does it do its job well but it looks nice and has an easy to read display that is back-lit so you can see it in low lighting.

Perfect size for a SD card. I use it in my Pentax K-x and haven’t had any problems whatsoever in over 3 months of use. It is a really great value at the asking price, so why pay more for an expensive card?

Plant Design and Economics For an undergraduate chemical engineering student, this book has many useful charts of utility costs, safety indices, etc. About those charts, I can only say good things, because it feels a lot …
